On the homefront...

Lots of exciting things have been happening with Arbonne lately, but more to come on those later! On the homefront, however, it's been a calm and crafty few weeks....I think I'm in summer DIY mode or something!

We threw a lovely "Yay you're going to be foster parents" party for Lexi. I made the pennant flags out of old book pages, as well as decoupaged some cute book-page candle holders and vases for the tables. It was lovely. :)

My blueberry bush exploded with blueberries! I got one round of about 3 1/2 cups of blueberries off it, and another round of about 5 cups! It kind of wimped out the first couple years we were here are produced a berry or two each year, but it's making up for it now!

This is the first half of an art project I'm working on. Can you guess what I'm going to do to the canvases now that they're painted?

I took the old lamp shades in the guest room and painted pennant flags on them. It took about 20 minutes, and of course anything is happier with pennant flags on it!!

7. The number of keys I took off my keychain that I have NO idea what they're to. Anyone recognize one? Boy, my keychain is much lighter now!

And, ta daaa!! My newly painted and decorated guest room. I adore the coral and green combo, don't you?

I made a homemade blueberry cobbler from blueberries I picked from my yard with my own hands. Mind blown? Yeah, mine too.

And that, my friends, is summer at the Gates household.

Your moment of zen:

Bruster's serves free ice cream (with a dog biscuit!) to four-legged customers, thereby making them the coolest ice cream shop ever. (seriously, I get way happier watching my dog eat ice cream than eating it myself.)

Watermelon, feta, and butter lettuce salad with walnuts and white balsamic.  I love my CSA box.  And not the flippant, I-love-th...
